You are cordially invited to participate in the City of Tavares Candyland Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 5:00 pm.
If you would like to participate, please complete and submit the attached parade application.
IMPORTANT: To ensure the safety, quality, and timeliness of the parade, the following changes have been made this year:
The parade will be limited to the first 175 vehicles entered, so please return your application promptly.
All commercial entries will be limited to a max of 2 vehicles per entry.
All non-commercial entries will be limited to a max of 10 vehicles per entry.
Golf cart community entries will be limited to a max of 25 carts per entry.
New start time of 5:00 pm
Thank you for helping us make this a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
Entry Fee: In place of an entry fee, and in the Spirit of the Season, we are requesting an unwrapped (new) toy or food bank donation. The toy donations will go to the Lake Sumter Children’s Advocacy Center, a local organization that provides services to abused children from the Lake and Sumter County area. The food donations will go to the food pantry at the Union Congregational Church located here in Tavares. Your generous donations every year help both of these organizations provide Christmas to many of our local families in need.
